The organizers and partners of Vaudreuil-Soulanges Wine Show met this week at a press conference to unveil details and launch ticket sales for the 15th edition of the event.
This press conference was first of all an opportunity to give a foretaste of the wine and gourmet products on offer. On site, guests can taste the products of 26 wine agencies.

Among other things, note the presence of the local vineyards Le Bourg des Cèdres and Côte de Vaudreuil, as well as the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ).
Between a few wine tastings, lounge participants will be able to snack at the kiosk owned by caterer Marc Besner, the restaurant Olivia or Trattoria Lanni, the IGA Extra Famille Viau and Pierre Patry, the McKibbin's pub, the McKibbin's pub, Imports Edika or the Federation of Quebec Milk Producers.
This year, thanks to committed partners who believe in the importance of the Salon des Vins's mission, a big draw will take place. Indeed, wine lovers have the chance to win a trip to the Château Montus vineyard in France. Other interesting door prizes will be offered by partners.
The 2018 edition of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Wine Show takes place under the honorary presidency of the Mayor of Rivière-Beaudette and Prefect of the MRC, Patrick Bousez.
A cause above all
The Vaudreuil-Soulanges Wine Show is an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Not only does it allow the promotion of quality local and international products and the discovery of small jewels, but above all, it makes it possible to support a cause dear to the region; the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital Foundation.
Local and regional actors, elected officials, business people and citizens must demonstrate their support for the hospital center by coming to the Salon to financially support the foundation and experience a pleasant foray into the world of wine in very good company, said Denis Lapointe, president of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital Foundation.
The funds raised at the Salon will, for example, allow the acquisition of medical equipment likely to improve health care in the future regional hospital.
While waiting for the hospital to open, the Foundation is devoting a portion of the donations collected to improving health in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. It contributes to the realization of certain activities such as:
School lunch program for children from financially precarious families
Financial support for local victims and psychological assistance
Medical equipment in the CLSCs of Vaudreuil-Soulanges
Zootherapy, gifts during the holiday season and music in the rooms for CHSLD residents
Purchase of equipment for the mental health organization The Red Zebra
The Wine Fair is made possible thanks to the support of several major partners. As such, Caisse Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges has been involved since the very beginning. The President of the Caisse also wanted to highlight this collective work: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the visionary authorities who have always believed and continue to believe in the importance of collaborating together in the cause of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital Center,” she said.
