The future hospital center of Vaudreuil-Soulanges moves to the construction stage
QUEBEC CITY, June 30, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, announces that the project for the future hospital center in Vaudreuil-Soulanges has taken an important step towards its realization.
Thus, the business case has been approved by the Council of Ministers, and the project implementation phase can officially begin. Construction work will thus be able to begin at the beginning of next autumn.
The new 404-bed general and specialized hospital will be built on land located northwest of the intersection of Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes and Autoroute 30 in Vaudreuil-Dorion. The new construction, which will have an area of 132,340 m2, will be divided into two pavilions. The first will include the majority of the project's outpatient functions as well as the auditorium, reception structures, laboratories as well as support functions. The second pavilion, of 13 floors, will house the majority of critical functions such as the emergency room, the operating room, medical imaging and all the care units.
