Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital: Great Popular Assembly

(Collaboration Adèle Major) — Next Saturday, October 26, there will be an important popular meeting for the future Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital.
The meeting will take place from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Paul-Émile Meloche room at La Cité des Jeunes High School in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
The announcement of the holding of this meeting took place last Thursday (17 October) in the premises of the MRC Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
There seems to be disillusionment among some people. The Committee of Citizens for the Hospital of Vaudreuil-Soulanges hopes that next Saturday the population will clearly demonstrate its determination to see the project of a hospital center for the region come true. Despite a petition with 43,000 signatures and a poster campaign, the Citizens' Committee believes that it is necessary to do a great deal to prove to the Quebec government that Vaudreuil-Soulangeois want to get their hospital.
It is important to remember that the population of Vaudreuil-Soulanges is growing. Indeed, it will soon reach 150,000 residents, but it still does not benefit from the essential service that a hospital represents. In addition, a hospital in Vaudreuil-Soulanges would reduce the number of visitors to hospitals in Surooît and Lakeshore.
So, the next step for those who want a hospital to come to Vaudreuil-Soulanges is the meeting on Saturday, October 26, which will start at 10 am at the Paul-Émile Meloche room at the Cité des Jeunes high school in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
