Deputy Marilyne Picard announces the acquisition of land that will house the new hospital!

“The CISSS de la Montéregie-Ouest is delighted with this announcement. The acquisition of the land is an important step leading to the construction of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital and is also very significant for the population who eagerly awaits their arrival. Recall that a dedicated team from the CISSS de la Montéregie-Ouest has been actively working for more than 2 years, in collaboration with its partners from the Société Québécoise des Infrastructures and the Ministry of Health and Social Services, to carry out the various deliverables so that the new hospital can welcome its first patient in 2026 as planned,” says Yves Masse, President and CEO of the CISSS de la Montéregie-Ouest.
Vaudreuil-Dorion, November 15, 2019 — The Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and Social Services and Member of Parliament for Soulanges, Marilyne Picard, announced today, on behalf of the Minister of Health and Social Services, Danielle McCann, that the Centre Intégré de Santé et de Services Sociaux de la Montérégie Ouest acquired, on 1Er last November, the land on which the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital will be built.
This acquisition follows the steps taken in recent months by the government, allowing it to become the owner as part of the process of expropriating the land necessary to accommodate the new hospital, near highways 30 and 40. The construction project, which was registered with the Quebec Infrastructure Program in March 2018, is currently in the business case development stage, and has been awarded $79.54 million to complete this stage.
The new hospital will provide better accessibility to care and services close to the population of the region, with an established capacity of 404 beds. Construction work will begin in February 2022 and will last until the fall of 2026.
