Mayor Guy Pilon happy with the government's decision

Following the news published on February 1, 2019, confirming that the project for the future hospital in Vaudreuil-Soulanges will be carried out on the same land as planned, Guy Pilon, Mayor of Vaudreuil-Dorion, expresses his joy and gratitude..
The issue of the future hospital in Vaudreuil-Soulanges garnered a lot of attention last December when the Montreal Metropolitan Community (CMM) voted a resolution opposing the choice of land. Faced with this resolution, the CAQ then decided to refuse the land originally chosen and to opt for other possible land.
However, it is a turnaround. “I admit that I am very happy with the turnaround. This proves that our work was well done and that our studies and our choice were justified. The government agreed to review its decision when we shared with it all the studies and the reasons for our first choice. To this end, I thank the government for this new decision,” says Guy Pilon.
Having to change ground would certainly have caused major delays. Allowing the choice of the current field to be maintained will avoid delaying the file and will allow us to move forward. “I repeat, I am extremely happy! We can now move forward”, concludes Mr. Le Maire.
