Review of the year 2024

In 2024, the construction of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital passed several important milestones. The main structure has made great progress, with work on curtain walls and roofs progressing. Interior design has begun, including the installation of electrical, plumbing and ventilation systems. Work has also been carried out on outdoor infrastructures, such as access roads and parking lots. Regular inspections have been carried out to ensure compliance with safety and construction standards.

As the year comes to an end, it's time to take stock.

The construction of this hospital in Vaudreuil-Soulanges is based on the valuable support of our partners, who work together every day for the well-being of our community. We recognize the exceptional work of all the men and women who contribute to these achievements. A huge thank you to all of you.

Winter 2024: a major breakthrough on Pavilion A

The year starts with a spectacular transformation of the site. More than 200 people and eight tower cranes work every day to bring this collective vision to life. To see or review the evolution of the construction site in an accelerated way, Watch our time lapse capsule for the year 2023.

In February, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Arts and Culture Council (CACVS) unveiled Glass Garden, a collective work by artist Isabelle Parson. Composed of 404 microscope slides, each decorated with a unique creation of citizens, this work embodies the spirit of community and will be installed in Pavilion A.

Spring 2024: the evolution continues!

Pavilion B is beginning to take shape before our eyes while work is progressing rapidly on Pavilion A, with more than 425 workers now mobilized.

This spring, our team is participating in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Wine Show to discuss the project with the community.

Summer 2024: media visits

The media are once again invited to observe the progress of work on the construction site. The structure of Pavilion A has been completed and the marking of the interior walls and the installation of the electromechanical systems have begun. As for Pavilion B, work is progressing up to the 4th floor.

Fall 2024: recruitment begins

The team is starting to publish tenders for equipment and furniture, a key step towards the opening of the hospital.

Recruiting for the future hospital begins. Several positions are available immediately externally: nurses, physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. These professionals will join the CISSS de la Montéregie-Ouest before the hospital opens. More positions will be posted as the opening approaches.
